One of the things I love about running is that in order to avoid boredom I like to try different routes (especially on vacation). I came across this barn in Volant, PA, and I had to go back with my camera. Today is 9/11, and I will never forget.
Dove Release; New Orleans Wedding Photographer, Audubon Tea Room
Flora surprised Ben and her guests with a dove release at the end of their beautiful reception at the Audubon Tea Room. They second lined to the “Tree of Life” and released doves. Although I didn’t duck when the birds were coming at me, I definitely let out a little scream as I looked at the lens and saw them coming at me! What a wonderful way to end a reception! I promise to share more images soon.
Sisters and Pinkberry! ; New Orleans Portrait Photography Pinkberry
Sisters! Sibyl won the “Lucky You” Drawing I did with Life Boutique, The Stationer, Wedding Belles, Blue Frog Chocolates and Make Me Up. She decide to use the complimentary session and 11×14″ fine art print for a portrait with her sisters for her parent’s anniversary. Portrait and gift certificates are a great gift idea for anniversaries, birthdays and baby showers.
On a side note, Sibyl’s sisters, Courtney & Celie, are responsible for bring the delicious “Pinkberry” Yogurt shop to New Orleans. Since I love dogs and I love Pinkberry, I thought I should share the great event happening in two weeks! On Thursday, July 28 go to either Pinkberry Nola location and say the “secret word” and they will give 20% of the proceeds directly to the LA SPCA. THE SECRET WORD IS: LAPETS So, please go and enjoy some yummy Pinkberry yogurt to support our SPCA. YAY!
Newborn Portrait Photography; New Orleans Metairie Photographer
Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of taking some maternity portraits for a very sweet couple. Then, they had baby “D.” Although his mama listened to me, when I warned her to have the session within the first two weeks after his birth, it was still hard to get him to fall asleep. So, we got a ton of him wide awake. Since he is adorable, it wasn’t hard to get some great shots of him. Here are some of my favorites:
Splish, Splash! Summer Portraits at Audubon Zoo. ; New Orleans Portrait Photography
Summertime is my favorite time of the year. Here in New Orleans it is hazy, hot and humid, so there is no better place to go than the Audubon Zoo. I had the opportunity to take “G’s” 2 year portrait at the zoo. We had a blast playing in the fountain, flowers and riding the carousel.
I am coming up to Pittsburgh, PA for my annual trip to visit my family. I am bringing my equipment, so please contact me to schedule your session for the first week/weekend of August. It is the perfect time to capture the family with their healthy summer glow!

4th of July Portraits; New Orleans Pittsburgh Portrait Photographer
WOW! In the past month I have had the opportunity to photograph a wedding in Belize, several weddings and events in New Orleans as well as photographing a bunch of portraits. I just capped it off with over a week long vacation with Jeb’s side of the family in Colorado. As a result, I have be neglecting my blog. I plan to post a ton of recent photography samples soon. Here is a cute shot of little “E.” I had the opportunity to take her newborn portrait and she is already close to a year. Doesn’t she look adorable in her “U.S.A.” themed swimsuit. I just love her blue eyes and dimple.

Celebrate the colors of spring: Portrait Special / New Orleans, Louisiana Children Photographer
Spring is in the air and the world is full of beautiful colors! In order to celebrate, I am having my annual “color special.” This is because I want to celebrate COLORFUL clothing. As my gift to you, I am offering an awesome opportunity for my past and new clients.
Here are the details! Everyone gets some prints of their favorite images from the session. Clients that have had a regular portrait session between September 15, 2010 and February 14, 2011 will receive a free session and their choice of (1)5×7″ prints or (2)4×6″ prints. Anyone that has not had a session in the past 6 months or is a new client still gets a “special” rate of $50 for the session and their choice of (1)5×7″ prints or (2)4×6″ prints (this package is valued at $155). Finally, you can receive a ANOTHER 5×7″ print from the session if you refer a friend and they book a session or if you “like” my fan page on Facebook. This offer expires on April 18, 2011, so please contact me soon to schedule your session.
Although I love traditional outfits (think smocks and initials) for formal and timeless portraits, this session is not for that type of apparel. So, the one catch to taking me up on this special limited time offer is that the children must be dressed in fun & funky outfits with vibrant colors and/or bold patterns. There may even be balloons or other fun props involved if you want. Please do not choose traditional outfits for this special. Due to the huge sales going on at stores like Pippen Lane, Angelique Baby and other fabulous children’s clothing stores in New Orleans, I think that now is the best time to have this session.
Please let me know if you would like to schedule a session. However, spaces are limited and registration to participate ends Monday, April 18, 2011. I will be holding the sessions over the next month, so please call or email me soon if you are interested in participating. Upon completion of the session, you will need to sign a copyright release enabling me to use the images for marketing/advertising purposes. In return, you will have your choice of either (1)5×7″ prints or (2)4×6″ prints of your favorite images from the session. You will also have the opportunity to purchase additional items if desired. Finally, if you have some friends that you think would like to participate, please pass on the information. You can even share this with friends that have high school aged children or even a favorite pet since I have expanded my services to Senior and Pet photography.
Below are some fun and colorful images of M in a tutu….I love pink and tutus. Plus, she was an awesome model. At the end of the session, she broke loose and danced, which is what a tutu is meant to do! Thanks!

Mardi Gras; New Orleans Photographer
Mardi Gras came and went…and left me exhausted!! If you don’t have a good time during Mardi Gras, then it is all your fault. Pet Photography; Destination Photographer, Pittsburgh, PA
Before Christmas, I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding in Pittsburgh, which is my hometown. While I was there I did a bunch of holiday portrait sessions. I cannot believe how grown up these two are getting. I used to babysit them when they were itty bitty. I am so happy that we have kept in touch and I get to see them each year when I visit. They come from a family of fellow dog lovers, so it was fitting that their dog, Molly, was in their holiday portrait. Recently, their mom reordered some images from the Christmas session and I thought I should post them here. I love when I get shots of dog kisses!! Thanks!
