Prudence & John’s Wedding: Destination Wedding Photography, Savannah Wedding Photography, Savannah Washington Square

One of the things I love about my job is that I get the opportunity to travel and photograph destination weddings. Last year, I had the honor of photographing weddings in Belize and Savannah, Georgia. This year I am headed to San Juan, Puerto Rico and Pittsburgh, PA. I love going to these fabulous locations and documenting these beautiful events.

Prudence and John traveled from Raleigh, North Carolina to have their ceremony in the beautiful Washington Square in Savannah, GA. They had a fabulous weekend full of fun events for all their guests that made the trip to help celebrate their big day. Prudence, Lynn (her mom) and Meredith Stroud from Tricia Huddas & Company Events (www.triciahuddas.com) didn’t miss a single detail…they thought of everything. It was truly a beautiful evening.

Below are my favorite images from the getting ready/preparation, ceremony and posed portraits. I loved the navy and green color scheme, Prudence “convertible” dress. It had a full length skirt that was tied with a beautiful sash, but the skirt could be taken off during the reception. There was a stunning lace cocktail dress underneath, and Pru accessorized with gorgeous Christian Louboutin heels….a photographer’s dream!! She chose to only have her mom help her get dressed, so I was excited to get to document their special moments together before the ceremony. Then, when she had her big reveal to her maid of honor and matron of honor there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Finally, it was time to walk down the aisle and have her uncle perform the ceremony. After the processional, Prudence and John left on a horse drawn carriage to have some alone time in a nearby park….I got to follow in a peddi cab and capture their first few minutes as husband and wife. They were so sweet together. It was a wonderful time to witness. Then, it was off for some quick portraits with their family and bridal party before heading to the reception where they would dance the night away in a New Orleans themed party. Child’s Birthday Party: Alice in Wonderland; New Orleans Event Photography

Someone asked me today if I ever photograph birthday parties….to which I responded “Yes!!” I love photographing birthday parties. Especially ones with awesome details. Check out this “Alice in Wonderland” themed 4th Birthday Party. I know this little one will never forget such an awesome event!

Happy Valentine’s Day! ; New Orleans Photographer, Dog Portraits New Orleans

I hope everybody has a wonderful Valentine’s Day filled with love and happiness. After I photographed a beautiful family in the park, I decided to do an impromptu session of with my favorite subject….my dog, Jolie! She has gotten to the stage where she absolutely refuses to look at the camera unless I am holding treat on top of the lens, but I think she looked good in profile. Here is my pup!

If you know anything about me, you know I am obsessed with dogs! So, when a couple contacts me to get portraits with their dogs, I get very excited. Both of these dogs were rescued and it is amazing how similar their color is to one another. It was fun seeing how the whole family interacts, and I was very impressed at how well the dogs posed!

I had a blast photographing Miss “O” and her family. I loved all her wonderful expressions and her fabulous bright pink shirt! The colors really made the images pop as did her adorable personality. I think these would make awesome Valentine’s Day cards. Thanks!

I really adore this family. I love it that they do an extended family session every year. This year we met at New Orleans City Park. It is a beautiful location for portraits. I love how the two little cousins interact with each other!

I love Halloween!! Costumes and candy…..what’s not to love! When I heard this session was going to be based on the Saints and Halloween, I was excited. I have been photographing D & M since they were both tiny. They are growing up too quickly, and I am enjoying photographing them every three or four months. They are adorable here as “Peter Pan” and “Tinkerbell.” Happy Halloween!

One of the things I love about running is that in order to avoid boredom I like to try different routes (especially on vacation). I came across this barn in Volant, PA, and I had to go back with my camera. Today is 9/11, and I will never forget.

Dove Release; New Orleans Wedding Photographer, Audubon Tea Room

Flora surprised Ben and her guests with a dove release at the end of their beautiful reception at the Audubon Tea Room. They second lined to the “Tree of Life” and released doves. Although I didn’t duck when the birds were coming at me, I definitely let out a little scream as I looked at the lens and saw them coming at me! What a wonderful way to end a reception! I promise to share more images soon.
