I love to get a sneak peak of my brides before their wedding day. Jamie gave me that honor when she asked me to photograph her Bridal Formal Portrait. City Park proved to be a gorgeous backdrop for her images. She looked so beautiful and happy! The wind was aweful that day, but she was a trooper. I love how her gown goes so well with her skin tones, and how awesome she looks in profile, too. Thanks!

It seems like there is a baby-boom going on in New Orleans. I now of at least 7 women that are pregnant. I can’t wait to meet all these babies. I loved photographing this little boy, and I can’t wait to watch him grow!

Every few months, I get a call from a national company to do some freelance work. Basically, I go to a school that has hired them to design a new website. My job is to go and explore the school both inside and outside, and document it via my photography. I love getting these calls because it means I get to see all the creative things going on at the school. Right before the holidays, I got the call and headed out to a New Orleans Charter School. Although my guide told me how they are over-crowded and have had to deal with buchet cuts, I know the kids will do well because they are being taught the importance of being themselves. With just the help of paint, construction paper, scissors and pastels, these children have been able to display their remarkable creativity. This is why I love being a photographer! Just look at how each face is different and each Santa is unique. I remember always having to make my work look like the sample the teacher showed us….I think that this is a new way of teaching art, and I like it!

You might remember this couple from their engagement session in beautiful Napa Valley. I got the pleasure of photographing Crissy & Stephen’s wedding the day after Christmas. What a festive and fun event!! I love Christmas and I love weddings. Thanks for letting me document your big day!

I am finally back on track after a crazy busy holiday portrait / wedding season. I have been working today at catching up on everything that I have neglected during the last two months…which includes my blog. As promised here are some samples of a recent engagement session. I had a lot of fun getting to know Jamie and Kevin as we made our way around the French Quarter.

A fun shot from a recent party I photographed with Santa and the New Orleans Saints’ “Gumbo.” Also, a shot of my wonderful dog! Merry Christmas! I promise to post a ton of images from the last two months soon! During the Susan Komen Race for the Cure, I had the opportunity to meet a great contact that represents John Besh’s fabulous restaurants here in New Orleans. As a result, I found myself looking at some images from a Jo Kerry and Anthony’s wedding last year. They are from New York, but they chose to do a destination wedding in New Orleans. They had a beautiful wedding, and it was an honor to document it for them. Anthony owns a restaurant in New York City, so it was fitting that they held their special day at John Besh’s August because it is know for its celebration of food. Here are two storyboards of the event!

I had fun photographing M & L at City Park. It was a little cold for New Orleans, but they both put on a smile! They were a lot of fun to photograph, and I wish all mothers and daughters had as close a relationship as these two.

Here of some more holiday session portraits!

I love the attitude Bella had in the standing shot. I think she looks like a model!

I was shocked upon seeing Christmas candy and decorations at the store yesterday. Yikes! The holidays are sneaking up quickly. I even found myself looking and listening to my Christmas playlist on Itunes! Here are some favorites from some of my Christmas/Winter portrait sessions. Have you booked your session? I will be connected to my camera every weekend until Christmas! Yeah!

I love her Santa outfit!
