For a more modern look and style, I like to separate the group and add dimension to the image. This gives everyone in the image individual space and lets their personality shine. Having a fence or structure to use helps to add height and different posing techniques.

I like to start with a traditional pose and then get creative in order to give my clients both options. Traditional poses have the family a unit and they look connected. These poses are classic and a great way to keep kiddos comfortable since they can lean or hold on to their parents.
